Two-way radios for K-12 and higher ed campuses with multi-building coverage.

Campus security, facilities, transportation, athletics, and custodial teams need encrypted comms across buildings, parking lots, and fields — with talk groups that lock down fast during a drill.

Operator using Elite2Way cellular push-to-talk radio in a education environment

A typical day on a education site.

It's 7:15am at a K-8 campus. Custodial is finishing the gym from last night's parent meeting. The bus coordinator is rerouting a late driver. The resource officer is posted at the main entrance for arrival. Facilities is responding to an HVAC ticket in the sixth-grade hall. By 3:30, athletics is setting up the JV field two buildings away and a lunch supervisor is sweeping the perimeter. Between the elementary, middle, and high buildings, plus the parking lots and athletic fields, UHF radios drop out as soon as someone steps behind a brick wall — and that's exactly when a drill or an incident happens.

How POC LTE solves it.

  • Encrypted talk groups by default — no over-the-air interception during drills or live events.
  • Pre-programmed all-call lockdown channel that every radio monitors and can trigger.
  • Coverage extends to parking lots, fields, and the perimeter — wherever cell signal works.
  • Separate channels for administration, security, facilities, transportation, and athletics.
  • Discreet earpieces for resource officers so traffic doesn't carry into classrooms.

Roles we equip.

The radios are sized and programmed for who actually uses them. A front desk gets a different setup than a banquet captain or a security supervisor.
